I am posting this blog again because I received such good news from the Fall Watercolor Society of Oregon Show.
I won 6th place for my Dublin Pub painting pictured below!
(That was out of approximately 200 applicants).
Dublin Pub is part of a series that I have completed on pubs in Ireland done with watercolor, gouache, ink, and of course watercolor paper. I used 300 pound Arches Cold Press paper.
Believe me when I tell you that there were so many great paintings in the show I felt honored to be chosen as a winner.
Some of the other artists work that I enjoyed at the artist reception include: Helen Brown's painting of a beautiful outdoor scene, Sarah Bouwsma's painting of Forest Park, Jenny Armitage's painting of a wooded scene, and Harold Walkup's night scene painting.

Now until the end or October the Watercolor Society of Oregon show will be displayed at the Elsinore Framing and Fine Art Gallery, 444 Ferry Street SE., Salem, OR, 97301.
I'm so excited that my painting "Dublin Pub" was juried into the fall Watercolor Society of Oregon Show.
The watercolor show takes place in Salem Oregon at the Elsinore Gallery from October 7th - 29th.
