This painting portrays a doorway in Portugal. There are so many beautiful doorways there that I felt I needed to paint one. 
This painting was done using watercolor batik on rice paper. 
The colors are very vibrant and I tried to show the age of the doorway and the tarnished hardware through the batik process. 
I hope you enjoy this painting. It would look good anywhere you might need a pop of color.
